The beauty of stained glass can transform even the smallest window and the room, whatever the style of your home; traditional, modern or retro, a window can be designed to enhance and complement your decor.

Every commission begins with your brief, it is my job to develop your ideas and wishes into the perfect window for you.  While most of my own work is abstract and have accepted commissions that reflect my own style, I have also made windows that are whimsical, traditional or classic according to the taste of my clients.

A selection of recent commissions is reproduced here.

This 4 panel window, shown as a work in progress,is for the kitchen door of an old french house that used to be surrounded by an orchard.  Working to the client's brief of "something to make me smile", this autumnal scene was chosen from a range of preliminary sketches.   The window was installed in March 2008.

Brittany is a region with a proud celtic past, the knotwork piece below was designed as a window hanging for a beautiful cottage near  to the Ty Skol workshop.  The clients were specific about the colours they wanted and that they wanted celtic knotwork.  The actual design was influenced more by the shape and size of the aperture and it was completed in February 2008.

   Glasgow Rose

This Charles Rennie MacIntosh inspired rose window was commissioned in January 2008 for a door leading out to a garden, the clients knew they wanted a rose theme and coming from Glasgow this style was very familiar to me, after producing a series of sketches and options this is their final choice.  The window is copperfoiled and unframed to be incorporated into a sealed double glazed unit before being installed in the door.
